Mega 3-day Awareness Drive concludes in Kishtwar More than 2000 individuals participate in final day rally

KISHTWAR, APRIL 10: The three-day district-level awareness programme organized by the Department of School Education, concluded successfully today, witnessing enthusiastic participation from the line departments, teachers, students and civil society members across the district.

The programme focused on key social themes including road safety, social awareness, environmental protection, mental health, drug de-addiction and career guidance.

The overall district-level event was organised under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Sharma, Chief Education Officer Sanjay Dogra coordinated the event.

On the second day, a district-wide grand poster-making and slogan-writing competition was organized across educational institutions, drawing large-scale participation from students.

The main district-level event was held here at Government Boys’ Higher Secondary School, where students from various schools participated in the poster-making competition.

An awareness session on road safety was also conducted during the event. District Traffic Inspector Anil Raina was the resource person. He shared valuable insights on traffic rules, safety measures and responsible road usage.

On the concluding day, a grand awareness rally was organized from the New DC Office to TRC Kishtwar.

The rally was flagged off by the Deputy Commissioner and saw participation from over 2,000 individuals, including officers from the line departments, students, teachers and civil society members.

Participants carried IEC posters conveying messages on environmental protection, road safety and social responsibility.

The Motor Vehicle Department (MVD distributed road safety IEC materials among the participants.

Similar rallies were also taken out by the educational institutions across the district, spreading awareness through impactful slogans such as “Plant Trees and Save the Earth,” “Nazar Hati, Durghatna Ghati,” and “Say No to Drugs, Save Lives,” among others.

 ADDC Vinod Kumar Behnal; ACD Manoj Kumar; ARTO Tasleem Wani; CEO Sanjay Dogra; Dy. CEO Masood Ahmed Qazi; ZEO Ashok Kumar; DTI Anil Raina and other district officers were present on the occasion.
