DC Kulgam assesses implementation of Enterprise Mentorship Programme under Mission YUVA in district

KULGAM, APRIL 08: Deputy Commissioner, Kulgam, Shahzad Alam today chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the progress and implementation of the Enterprise Mentorship Programme under Mission YUVA in the district.

At the outset, a detailed overview of the programme was presented, highlighting key achievements and ongoing activities.

The chair was informed that a total of 21 enterprises have been successfully onboarded under the initiative so far.

It was further apprised that 8 mentors are currently engaged in conducting structured mentorship batches aimed at guiding and supporting aspiring entrepreneurs at various stages of their enterprise development journey.

While reviewing the progress, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the need for scaling up the initiative to achieve broader outreach and impact.

He stressed upon the concerned departments and stakeholders to intensify efforts towards identification and onboarding of more viable enterprises across diverse sectors. He also underscored the importance of mobilizing and enrolling a larger pool of entrepreneurs in the mentorship batches to ensure maximum participation and benefit under Mission YUVA.

Highlighting the significance of mentorship in nurturing sustainable enterprises, the Deputy Commissioner called for close coordination among all stakeholders to ensure quality mentoring, regular monitoring, and effective handholding of beneficiaries.

The meeting also deliberated on strategies to enhance the effectiveness of mentorship sessions, streamline communication between mentors and mentees, and address any operational challenges being faced during implementation.

The meeting was attended by the CCO DE&CC Kulgam, IPO DIC Kulgam, SBDU/ BHD staff, and the on-boarded enterprise mentors.
