Kupwara, April 7: Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Shrikant Suse, today undertook a detailed tour of heritage sites in Trehgam to review ongoing preservation works.
At the historic Shiv Temple, the DC inspected renovation works being executed under the Cultural Heritage Preservation Programme by PWD. He directed department to expedite pace of work with strict adherence to quality standards underscoring the importance of safeguarding the town’s cultural and religious heritage.
The Deputy Commissioner further visited the Trehgam Jamia Masjid, where he held deliberations with the Masjid Intizamia regarding developmental requirements and upkeep of the site. He assured that genuine concerns would be addressed expeditiously, reiterating the administration’s commitment to preserving cultural and religious landmarks.
