ARMY PAYS TRIBUTE TO FALLEN HEROES ON NAUSHERA DAY

 Naushera Day is celebrated every year to commemorate the victory in 1947-48 at Naushera sector and also in remembrance of the martyrdom of Naik Jadunath Singh, PVC who attained supreme sacrifice in service of the nation.

Prior to the cultural programme at Butalia Auditorium, wreath laying ceremony was held at Jadunath memorial .The wreath laying was followed by a cultural event highlighting the victory of Indian Army in Naushera sector through a light and sound show, group dance performance by  the students. A large number of dignitaries from both Army and civil           attended the functions.

  Also multi-specialty Medical Camp and Artificial Limb Donation Camp was organized wherein 30 Wheel Chair, 06 Crutches, 10 Hearing Aids and 10 Blind Sticks were donated to beneficiaries including men and women from the Naushera Tehsil. Doctors from Army and Civil attended the patient’s alongwith the supporting staff. The multi-specialty Camp was augmented by Shri Mata Veshno Devi, Narayana Super-Specialty Hospital, Katra by         providing state of art mobile screening buses for Mammography, ECG, Lab investigation and on spot X- Ray facilities. The event highlighted the bonhomie between the Military, Civil     administration and the local populace, which shall always be a guiding beacon for all.
