
JAMMU, APRIL 02: In a significant step towards digital governance and ease of doing business, the Directorate of Horticulture Planning & Marketing (DHP&M) Jammu & Kashmir today launched two online services on the Jan Sugam Portal. The Services include ‘Issuance of Fresh License for Trade & Renewal of License for Trade.’ These services pertain to trade activities in Fruit and Vegetable Markets and have been successfully developed by the IT Cell of Information Technology Department.
The Services were launched by the Director DHP&M Ghulam Jeelani Zargar in presence of Additional Secretary IT Devender Singh Bhau; Head IT Cell Megha Khajuria and others. The introduction of the twin services marks an important milestone in the digital transformation of Horticulture/Agriculture-related services in the Union Territory of J&K. The initiative aims to streamline the trade licensing process, making it time bound, enhance transparency and provide greater convenience to traders/ stakeholders by enabling them to access services online without the need for physical visits.
