Hands-on training on PM-RAHAT Scheme held at Pulwama

PULWAMA, MARCH 30: District Administration Pulwama, in collaboration with District Police Pulwama, today organised a comprehensive hands-on training session on the implementation of the PM-RAHAT (Road Accident Victims’ Hospitalization and Assured Treatment) Scheme at the Conference Hall, DPL Pulwama, aimed at strengthening road accident response mechanisms in the district.

The training programme focused on effective utilization of the iRAD (Integrated Road Accident Database) portal and its eDAR (Electronic Detailed Accident Report) component for smooth and efficient execution of the scheme.

The session was attended by Investigating Officers (IOs), who were sensitized about their pivotal role in ensuring timely assistance and facilitation under the scheme through proper use of the digital platform.

Highlighting the objectives of the scheme, the resource persons informed that PM-RAHAT envisions a coordinated and responsive system for addressing road accident cases through timely intervention and streamlined processes.

During the training, emphasis was laid on the role of eDAR as a life-saving digital tool. Officers were guided on real-time uploading of accident-related data and the importance of maintaining accuracy and timeliness to enable seamless processing and service delivery.

Participants were also briefed on various operational aspects, including system linkages, procedural workflows and the significance of timely reporting to ensure transparency and accountability.
