Mission Yuva -Job Fair Mela-cum-Entrepreneurship Programme attracts massive youth participation at Doda

DODA, MARCH 28: A Job Fair Mela-cum-Entrepreneurship Programme was successfully organized today at Government Degree College, Doda, under the aegis of Mission YUVA. The objective was to provide employment and self-employment opportunities to the youth of the district.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from job seekers across Doda and adjoining areas.

More than 15 companies participated in the fair, offering over 500 vacancies across diverse sectors including retail, banking, hospitality and technical services. Prominent companies such as Maruti Suzuki, Bajaj Finance, Tata Motors and SBI Life Insurance were among the key participants.

During the programme, candidates were provided with on-the-spot interview opportunities along with career guidance and counselling sessions. Several youth secured direct placements, while many others were shortlisted for further recruitment processes.

In addition to facilitating job placements, the mela also promoted entrepreneurship and self-employment avenues. Officials from government departments highlighted the government schemes under Mission YUVA and other initiatives, encouraging youth to explore startup opportunities, skill development programmes and financial assistance schemes.

The Chief Guest, District Development Commissioner, Krishan Lal, inspected the stalls set up at the venue and interacted with representatives of participating companies. He inquired about employment opportunities and entrepreneurial prospects for the youth. He appreciated the efforts of all stakeholders for organizing the event and emphasized the role of Mission YUVA in paving the way for employment generation and creation of sustainable livelihood opportunities.

The DDC was accompanied by CPO Manesh Kumar Manhas; AD Employment Nehal Pandit; District Employment Officer along with other concerned officials and stakeholders.
