
SRINAGAR, MARCH 25: Social Welfare Department (SWD), under SANKALP – Hub for Empowerment of Women (Mission Shakti), Srinagar, successfully conducted Vocational Training Programmes at GGHSS Chanpora and GGHSS Rawalpora.
The initiative aimed to equip students with practical skills and promote self-employment opportunities.
The programmes witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, reflecting a strong interest in skill-based learning and career-oriented training. Experts, including the Industrial Promotion Officer from the District Industries Centre Srinagar and a Resource Person from Government Polytechnic for Women Srinagar, shared valuable insights on the importance of vocational education, entrepreneurship, and skill development in today’s dynamic job market.
The speakers highlighted various government schemes and support systems available for aspiring entrepreneurs and encouraged students to explore business opportunities. Emphasis was laid on innovation, self-reliance, and the need for youth to take initiative in shaping their careers.
The Resource Person from Government Polytechnic for Women Srinagar particularly stressed the significance of technical education and hands-on training, especially for young girls, to help them achieve financial independence and build confidence in their chosen fields.
Students were motivated to actively participate in such programmes and make optimal use of available resources for skill enhancement and career growth.
