Bandipora witnesses widespread participation in Vande Mataram Celebrations

BANDIPORA, MARCH 25: As part of the ongoing celebrations marking 150 years of Vande Mataram, a series of vibrant and patriotic activities were conducted across various institutions in Bandipora district, reflecting widespread public participation and youthful enthusiasm.

On the occasion, Youth Services & Sports (YS&S) Office Bandipora organized a district-wide cycling initiative under the banner of “Vande Mataram,” which witnessed active participation from students, staff, and sports lovers across all zones of the district.

 The cycling drive aimed to promote physical fitness, environmental awareness, and a strong sense of national pride among the youth. Participants pedaled through different routes, turning the event into a powerful display of unity, discipline, and patriotic spirit.

In continuation of the celebrations, Government Degree College Hajin organized a Signature Campaign, where students and faculty members enthusiastically participated and pledged their commitment towards national unity and values.

Similarly, NSS Units of HKM Degree College Bandipora organized an awareness rally to highlight the historical significance of Vande Mataram. The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation of students, NSS volunteers, and faculty members. Carrying placards and raising patriotic slogans, participants spread messages of unity, national pride, and cultural heritage in nearby areas.

Meanwhile, several schools across the district organized creative and engaging activities to mark the occasion. A cycling event was also held at Higher Secondary School Shahgund under the Vande Mataram programme.

Government Boys High School Ganastan conducted a “Selfie with Lyrics” activity, where students expressed their patriotism through creative participation. Similar activities were carried out at HSS Izmarg, HSS Gadakhud, GHS Kaloosa, GHSS Aragam, and BMS Nai Basti Chorwan, where students actively participated in selfie campaigns during the singing of Vande Mataram, showcasing enthusiasm and national spirit.

These activities collectively transformed the district into a vibrant hub of patriotic fervour, with students and youth taking a lead in promoting the message of unity, fitness, and national pride.
