DODA, MARCH 21: The festival of Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated with great enthusiasm and religious fervour across District Doda, as a large gathering of the Muslim community offered special Eid prayers at Eidgah Doda this morning.
The congregational prayers were led by the Imam of Jamia Masjid Doda and witnessed the presence of Deputy Commissioner Doda, Krishan Lal, Senior Superintendent of Police Sandeep Kumar Mehta, senior citizens along with other civil and police officers.
The District Administration Doda had made elaborate arrangements to ensure the smooth and peaceful conduct of the festival. Adequate security measures, traffic management and essential civic amenities were put in place for the convenience of the public.
The Deputy Commissioner Doda and SSP Doda extended warm congratulations to the people on Eid-ul-Fitr and conveyed t
heartfelt “Eid Mubarak,” highlighting the significance of the festival in promoting brotherhood, peace and communal harmony.
They appreciated the cooperation extended by the public in maintaining law and order during the celebrations.
Similar prayers were offered at various Eidgahs across the district, where people gathered in large numbers to mark the occasion with devotion and exchanged greetings, reflecting the true spirit of unity and togetherness.
