
JAMMU, FEBRUARY 23: Director Animal Husbandry (DAH) Jammu, Dr. Sanjay Gupta convened a meeting today in the Directorate’s Conference Hall to review the physical and financial progress of the department’s key schemes and projects across the Jammu division.
Chief Animal Husbandry Officers of all the districts of Jammu division, Dy. Director Planning, Officers from HADP Cell, Directorate of Animal Husbandry Jammu, officers from Livestock Development Board Jammu besides officers of technical and planning sections participated in the meeting.
The Director took a detailed review of the progress achieved under CAPEX, HADP, CSS and NABARD components of the department in the Jammu division. He issued on-spot directions wherever shortfalls were noticed.
The Director called for setting up Pashu Aushadi Vikray Kendras at grassroots levels for promoting use of generic/ethno-veterinary medicines to reduce treatment costs for livestock farmers. The field Officers were directed to identify suitable cooperative societies to run these kendras.
While reviewing progress under flagship Nationwide Artificial Insemination Programme (NAIP), the chair noticed several deficiencies in data-uploading. He directed officers to accelerate the process of data uploading on the designated portal to improve the performance indicators.
Further, the Director emphasized strict monitoring, accountability and better coordination to enhance departmental performance across the Jammu division in a time bound manner.
