District Admin Bandipora organises Potential Entrepreneurship Mela under Mission YUVA at Mantrigam

BANDIPORA, FEBRUARY 21: District Administration Bandipora on Saturday organized a one-day Potential Entrepreneurship Mela under Mission YUVA at Government Higher Secondary School Mantrigam in Block Bonkoot.

 

Additional Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Zaffar Husson Shawl, presided over the event and highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship in generating sustainable livelihood opportunities for the youth. He emphasized that Mission YUVA aims to mobilize potential entrepreneurs, disseminate information about various self-employment schemes, and provide necessary handholding support including financial and institutional guidance.

 

During the mela, various departments including DIC, Handicrafts and Handloom, Agriculture, Animal and Sheep Husbandry, NRLM, DE&CC, J&K Bank and RSETI set up stalls to showcase schemes and provide on-the-spot guidance to aspiring entrepreneurs. Help desks and advisory counters were established to facilitate interactions regarding credit facilities, training programmes, and institutional support.

 

Successful entrepreneurs and members of Self Help Groups (SHGs) also participated in the event and shared their experiences, motivating aspiring youth to explore entrepreneurship as a viable career option.

 

The programme witnessed active participation from local youth, women entrepreneurs, officials, and other stakeholders.

 

The District Administration reiterated its commitment to promoting entrepreneurship through effective convergence, outreach, and coordinated efforts under Mission YUVA to ensure inclusive growth and employment generation across the district.
