
DODA, FEBRUARY 01: An educational exposure visit of girl students from District Doda to the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jammu was organized today under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) programme with the aim to motivate them towards higher education and professional excellence.
During the visit, students were given an overview of the academic ecosystem of IIT Jammu and were acquainted with various courses, research facilities, innovation labs and career opportunities in science and technology.
Interactive sessions were held wherein faculty members briefed the students about admission processes, emerging fields and the importance of discipline, innovation and hard work.
The students shared their experiences, stating that the exposure visit enhanced their confidence and inspired them to aim for premier institutions like IITs. They expressed sincere thanks to the Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh for his support and encouragement in organizing such a meaningful initiative.
The visit proved to be an eye-opening experience, reinforcing the objectives of the BBBP programme by promoting education, empowerment and equal opportunities for girls through real-world exposure and guidance.
