DODA, JANUARY 31: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda, Harvinder Singh today chaired a meeting to finalize the Scale of Finance for the agricultural year 2026-27, covering Kharif and Rabi seasons.
The meeting was convened to assess crop-wise input costs, prevailing market rates and other allied expenses to ensure realistic and farmer-friendly financial norms.
Detailed discussions were held on the cost of cultivation for major crops, horticulture produce and allied agricultural activities, with the aim of facilitating timely and adequate credit support to farmers.
“The final Scale of Finance shall accurately reflect ground realities and support farmers in accessing institutional credit without difficulty,” the Deputy Commissioner emphasized. He directed the concerned departments to submit final recommendations promptly for further approval and implementation in the upcoming agricultural seasons.
The Meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Roshan Lal; District Animal Husbandry Officer, Chief Agriculture Officer, Tehsildar, EO Municipality, Officers from NABARD, Horticulture, Cooperative Department and Bank representatives, besides other concerned officers and officials.
