POONCH, JANUARY 23: District Development Commissioner Poonch, Ashok Kumar Sharma, today visited Tehsil Mandi to review the situation of roads affected by recent snowfall. The DDC personally assessed the snow accumulation on foot and took stock of the ground situation.
During the visit, the DDC issued on-the-spot directions to the concerned departments to immediately clear snow from the roads to ensure that the general public does not face inconvenience and vehicular movement remains smooth and safe.
The DDC emphasized timely and coordinated action by line departments to restore normal connectivity in snow-affected areas, particularly in view of public safety and essential services.
Executive Engineer PWD (R&B), Imtiaz Ahmed Mir; Tehsildar Mandi, Ashfaq Hussain; AGMO, Charankamal Singh, Tehsildar Headquarters, Pallvi Verma, along with other concerned officers, accompanied the DDC during the tour.
