
RAMBAN, JANUARY 23: Additional Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Varunjeet Singh Charak, who is also the Chairperson of the District Level Committee for implementation of youth engagement plan, today chaired a meeting to discuss the youth engagement plan for the district.
The meeting aimed at formulating a comprehensive, inclusive and result-oriented strategy to positively channelize the energy and potential of the youth.
The meeting was attended by Additional Superintendent of Police, Mujeeb-Ur-Rehman, General Manager DIC, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Education Officer, Chief Agriculture Officer, Assistant Labour Commissioner, Tehsildar Headquarters, Director R-SETI, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Superintendent ITI and other concerned officers.
The ADC sought suggestions from all stakeholder departments including JK Police, Education, Health, Industries, Youth Services & Sports, R-SETI, Agriculture and Horticulture to formulate a plan to address the aspirations and challenges of the youth in a holistic manner. Officers shared valuable feedback and sector-specific inputs to strengthen the initiative.
Emphasizing the need for coordinated efforts, the Chairperson directed each department to submit individual youth-centric action plans within two days which will be consolidated into a comprehensive district-level youth engagement plan.
The ADC stressed that engaging youth in sports, agriculture, entrepreneurship, skill development and voluntary services is essential for their overall development. He highlighted that constructive engagement would help channelize youthful energy towards nation-building, removal of social evils, promotion of discipline and creation of a positive, progressive and self-reliant society.
Earlier, the AD Employment Ramban, the Nodal Officer for youth engagement briefed the chair on the proposed framework, objectives and strategic interventions required for effective youth participation across various sectors. The plan focuses on skill development, employment generation, entrepreneurship, sports, volunteerism and social development.
