DODA, JANUARY 23: A programme, under the theme “Utsah, Samman, Swabhiman” was today organized here at DC office to mark the nationwide launch of credit cards and disbursement of loans under the Pradhan Mantri SVANidhi Scheme.
Live streaming of virtual interaction of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi with the beneficiaries was convened in the presence of Deputy Commissioner, Harvinder Singh; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Anil Kumar Thakur; Chief Planning Officer, Manesh Kumar; Additional Superintendent of Police, Mohd Aslam; Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Musharif Ali; District Social Welfare Officer, Zubair Ahmed; Executive Officer, Municipal Council, Yasir Wani; District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Gurpreet Singh besides other officers and officials.
The Deputy Commissioner gave away credit cards and loan disbursement certificates to the beneficiaries under the PM SVANidhi Scheme and urged them to make judicious use of the financial assistance for expanding their businesses, improving income generation and achieving sustainable livelihoods.
The DC highlighted that the PM SVANidhi Scheme played a pivotal role in providing easy access to institutional credit to street vendors and small traders, thereby helping them to overcome financial constraints and become self-reliant.
He also assured that the district administration shall continue to extend all necessary support to ensure that the benefits of various welfare schemes reach the deserving sections of society in a timely and transparent manner.
