UDHAMPUR, JANUARY 20: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai today inspected the ongoing widening and drainage works on the Garhi Gathyal road- a Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) Project.
During the inspection, the DC instructed the Assistant Commissioner Revenue to remove encroachments along the roadside to facilitate uninterrupted execution and proper road alignment. The Executive Engineer PMGSY was asked to ensure timely completion of the widening and drainage components for smooth and safe vehicular movement.
Emphasizing the importance of timely completion, the Deputy Commissioner said that improved road connectivity is essential for hassle-free transportation and socio-economic development of the area.
