SAMBA, JANUARY 19: The Phase-II of Vande Mataram celebrations took off in the district Samba today with a grand inaugural programme held in the Conference Hall of Administrative Complex-Nandani Hills.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jagdish Singh, district heads of Departments and students from different educational institutions of the district participated in the event.
The programme began with the screening of a short documentary highlighting the spirit, history and significance of “Vande Mataram.”
Students from different institutions presented cultural items, including a graceful dance performance on “Vande Mataram” besides patriotic songs which were highly appreciated by the guests present.
The ADC lauded the efforts of the students and organisers and emphasised the importance of such programmes in nurturing national values, unity and respect for the nation among the youth.
