R.S Pura Jammu: Once again foiling Pakistan’s nefarious activities, which continue to smuggle drugs across the border to fuel terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir, security forces recovered five kilograms of heroin in the RS Pura sector of the Jammu division early Monday. Approximately five kilograms of heroin was recovered from paddy fields in the border village of Bidhipur Jatta in the RS Pura sector of the India-Pakistan international border. This consignment was found deep inland. Security agencies are investigating how the consignment reached such depths. Whether it was dropped using a drone or someone entered the Indian territory with the consignment from across the border. According to reports, a joint team of the Border Security Force and police conducted a routine search operation in the morning, during which ten packets were recovered from the fields. Two of these packets were found in the fields of village residents Joginder Lal and Hazur Singh. Each packet contained five small packets containing heroin. It is suspected that the consignment may have been dropped by drone from Pakistan, though this has not yet been officially confirmed. Investigating agencies are investigating all aspects, including how the drug consignment reached so deep across the border. Security experts say that if the consignment was dropped using a drone, it could indicate a breach in security. A local investigation is also underway to determine whether any insider connections were involved. The Border Security Force and police have launched a thorough search operation in the area, and surveillance has been increased in surrounding villages.
