Poonch, October 27, 2025:
In a continued crackdown on illegal transportation of bovine animals, District Police Poonch intercepted a vehicle involved in such activity during routine checking at Mirza Morh.
A Tata Mobile bearing registration number JK12C/8923 was signalled to stop, and upon thorough checking, it was found carrying four bovines without valid permission.
Accordingly, FIR No. 248/2025 under Section 223 BNS has been registered at Police Station Surankote, and the vehicle has been seized.
District Police Poonch reiterates its firm resolve to act tough against those involved in bovine smuggling and to ensure effective enforcement of the law across the district.
