LG orders for reopening of some of the tourist spots in Kashmir & Jammu

Srinagar: After Baisran, Pahalgam carnage, various tourist spots which were closed on precautionary basis are now being opened for tourists in a phased manner once again. This information was given by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha himself in Pahalgam on Saturday. He said that eight tourist places have been opened in Kashmir province and Jammu province, others will also be opened for tourists soon.
On this occasion, he urged pilgrims from the country and abroad to participate in the pilgrimage of Sri Amreshwar Dham in large numbers and said that whenever the devotees come from Jammu, they should come in the morning convoy under the supervision of the security forces.
It is noteworthy that on April 22, terrorists killed 25 tourists and a local horseman in Baisran, located about five kilometers from Pahalgam. After this, the administration closed more than 50 tourist spots and parks in different parts of the state for the general public, especially for tourists.
