Kupwara: This morning, the Indian Army foiled an infiltration attempt in Kupwara district in North Kashmir. The army saw infiltrators crossing the border on the Line of Control in Tangdar sector. After which the army started firing. In this, the army soldiers killed two infiltrators.
The security forces have recovered a huge cache of weapons from the infiltrators. This includes seven pistols with 15 magazines and three assault rifles with eight magazines, along with about 900 cartridges of pistol and assault rifle and two grenades. Elections are due in Baramulla on May 20. It is feared that they were preparing to disrupt the elections.
