Jammu August-08-2023-:- In a Public Interest Litigation filed by Social Youth Club regarding timeline within which the Genetic Counseling Centres, Genetic Clinic, Genetic Laboratories etc need to be established, A Division Bench of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court Comprising Chief Justice N. Kotishwar Singh and Justice Wasim Sadiq Nargal after hearing Adv Navneet Dubey for the PIL whereas Sr. AAG SS Nanda for the UT, observed that In the light of the status report filed by the administration, let the Principal, Govt. Medical College, Jammu informs this Court about the existing Genetic Testing Lab as well as counseling centers stated to have been established at SMGS Hospital, Jammu jointly by the Department of Pediatrics and Gynecology by or before the next date of hearing.
