Jammu: There is tremendous enthusiasm among the devotees of Baba Barfani for the Amarnath Yatra. On the second day, 10,467 devotees visited the holy cave. 18326 devotees have bowed their heads in two days. On Sunday, the third batch of pilgrims left from Bhagwati Nagar base camp in Jammu to visit Baba Barfani. In the batch 4903 pilgrims left for Baltal and Pahalgam in different vehicles.
So far more than 3.5 lakh people have registered themselves online for the pilgrimage. Since the first batch was flagged off by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on June 30, a total of 12,807 pilgrims have so far proceeded towards the holy cave. As many as 2,346 pilgrims left for Baltal on Sunday in a convoy of 131 vehicles, said registration officers at base camp Bhagwati Nagar.
