SIA raids in six places in Kashmir, action in case of misuse of social media

Srinagar: The state Investigation Agency (SIA) on Tuesday raided six different places in four districts of Kashmir Valley. Action has been taken at these places in the case of misuse of social media. On Tuesday morning, SIA teams along with teams searched six places in Srinagar, Anantnag, Pulwama and Kupwara.
The SIA spokesperson said that an FIR has been lodged for misuse of social media platforms for illegal and separatist activities. In the same case, a search has been done under investigation. It is being told that during the investigation, some mobile phones and SIM cards have been seized from the spot as digital and physical evidence.

The official said that a case has been registered by SIA Kashmir for social media users and institutions in the country for spreading hatred against India and promoting terrorist activities and cooperating with their foreign colleagues.

The identified institutions are suspected to be in collusion with foreign colleagues to pursue their nefarious agenda, including provoking and supporting terrorism. Additionally, these institutions are targeting government employees, which is hindering their ability to perform valid duties.
The statement also mentions that adequate digital and physical evidence, such as mobile phones, SIM cards, etc. have been seized as a result of the search.
