Five government employees terminated for alleged in terror links

Continuing its action against the employees who are supporting terrorists by being involved in the government machinery, the Jammu and Kashmir administration has discharged five government employees. It is alleged that these workers were also involved in narcoterrorism. The five government employees against whom action has been taken are as Tanveer Saleem, Syed Iftikhar Andrabi, Afaq Ahmed Wani, Irshad Ahmed Khan and Abdul Momin Peer.

Tanveer Salim Dar had joined the Jammu and Kashmir Police in 1991 and during the year 2002 was transferred to the auxiliary battalion. Tanveer Salim Dar, suffering from fanatic jihadi mentality, during his deployment in the Ajwalari Battalion, started the work of delivering weapons to the terrorists in addition to repairing them. He worked as an overground worker in Srinagar for the commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba. He helped Lashkar in about a dozen terror attacks in Srinagar. Apart from this, he also helped the suicide terrorists of Lashkar-e-Taiba in the murder of the then MLC Javed Shala alias Javed Shah.

Syed Iftikhar Andrabi worked as an overground worker for Lashkar-e-Taiba and Hizbul Mujahideen while serving as Plantation Supervisor in the Forest Department. He played an important role in preparing the module of Narco Terrorism to finance the terrorists operating in Jammu and Kashmir while increasing his ties with many terrorist leaders sitting in Ghulam Kashmir. He himself was an important member of one such module. He also extended his ties with several security agencies to ensure that no one has any doubts. He was acting like a double agent. In June 2020, he was involved in the Narco Terrorism module caught in Handwara, North Kashmir. About a dozen smugglers associated with this module have been caught, from whom cash worth about two crore rupees has been recovered so far.

Afaq Ahmed Wani, posted as a manager in the Central Cooperative Bank in Baramulla, is also a member of the Narka Terrorism module of Lashkar and Hizbul Mujahideen caught in Handwara in June 2020. Apart from cash, the police also recovered heroin from him. Apart from sending narcotics out of Kashmir and taking a part of their earnings to terrorists, he also used to smuggle weapons from slave Kashmir.

Irshad Ahmed Khan, posted as an orderly, watchman in the Jal Shakti Department in Baramulla, used to work to transport the terrorists safely from one place to another. Apart from providing safe havens to the terrorists coming from Kashmir in the hinterlands of the valley, he also helped many terrorists to go out of India.

Abdul Momin was running the Peer Narkay Terror module. He also used to arrange money for the terrorists through hawala. He visited Pakistan twice during the year 2016-17. During his visit to Pakistan, he prepared a conspiracy to increase terrorist and separatist activities in Jammu and Kashmir, meeting with many terrorist leaders, besides officials of Pakistani intelligence agency ISI. He tried to carry forward this conspiracy by coming to Jammu and Kashmir. His activities came to light during the investigation of Narco Terror Module caught in Handwara in June 2020. A consignment of heroin was also recovered from him.
