BJP’S GIFT TO REFUGEES
The long wait of the refugees whether from PoJK or west Pakistan areas for getting better facilities and seamless public rights seems to be fulfilled in the coming days as BJP J&K chief Ravinder Raina along with party’s national secretary Narinder Singh has accomplished the much needed job which no other party or government had even mulled to be done. There is no doubt in the fact that BJP as party and its government at the centre has given gifts after gifts to the Jammu and Kashmir soon after coming to power in 2014 and that is the reason behind this party becoming first choice of people whether they live in Kathua, Jammu, Poonch, Doda or Baramulla. It has become a universal choice of all the residents of J&K and for that matter the party has also successfully garnered support of the majority of people across the country also. As far as J&K is concerned, the BJP as a party has done a tremendous job by convincing the PM Modi led centre to provide succor to the PoJK and west Pak refugees by regularising their colonies which came into existence after the people converted their makeshift homes given by the government during migration from PoJK and West Pakistan by transforming them into Kuchha and later on Pacca houses by their own meager resources which they somehow managed after setting in this part of the world due to partition and wars between India and Pakistan. It is mockery of the system that several decades passed but no government except the present BJP had shown any sensitivity towards these displaced persons who came here after leaving behind their homes, hearth and all belongings. The news emerging that Jammu and Kashmir Government is likely to regularize erstwhile 52 camps which were gradually converted into 12-odd colonies in Jammu outskirts in which Pakistan occupied Jammu Kashmir (PoJK) refugees had settled after their migration in 1947 is another big gift for the people by the BJP government. Without going into details that how things would be managed in this regard, one thing which comes to every mind is that the BJP as party has given so much to the people of J&K that no government or no political party can stand in front of this nationalist political outfit, and it now becomes a solemn duty of all the people to stand shoulder to shoulder with BJP.
