Rain from the sky once again caused havoc. During heavy rains, two youths working in a poultry farm collapsed in Kidian Gandyal, district Kathua, while one was injured, while another one youth was missing. Rescue team members, police and local people have reached the spot.
Police said that the incident happened late in the night. The rain had started from the night itself. Around one o’clock, the people around heard the sound of the roof of the poultry farm falling. On hearing the sound, the local people reached the spot. He saw that the entire roof of the poultry farm had collapsed. On asking around, it was found that three youths working in the poultry farm were also buried under the same, who were sleeping there at night. Everyone started working to save the youth. There was a lot of trouble in the rescue work amid the rain. Meanwhile, the police was also informed.
After much effort, the three youths were pulled out from the rubble and were immediately rushed to the district hospital, Kathua. When the doctors examined them, two youths were declared brought dead while the third injured youth is undergoing treatment in the hospital. People told that all the three youths working in the poultry farm are local. On Friday morning, the hospital management handed over the bodies of both the youths to their families for last rites after conducting post-mortem of the dead bodies.
