The Jammu and Kashmir administration has recruited around 30,000 people in the public sector since 2019. On Tuesday, Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai gave information in the Lok Sabha.
Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai also said that employment for 5.2 lakh people is estimated to be created through self-employment schemes from August 2019 to June 2022. In response to a written query, he said, “The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has made a total of 29,806 recruitments in the public sector since the year 2019.”
Article 370, which gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir, was scrapped on August 5, 2019 and the erstwhile state was bifurcated into two union territories, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. The year 2018 is under the central rule from Jammu and Kashmir.
