BE ON TOES

The report that a Chinese Air Force aircraft flew very close to a friction point in the eastern Ladakh sector on the Line of Actual Control in the last week of June, there is dire need that the Indian forces should remain on tenterhooks because it is difficult to adjudge the strategy of the Dragon nation which has a murky record of relationship with its neighbouring countries including India. The maneuvering by the Chinese plane close to Line of Actual Control (LAC) is not something which India can ignore especially when the relations between the two countries are at the lowest ebb with thousands of troops of both the great powers of the world deployed in eye to eye position along the contentious LAC after the ties turned bitter following the Galwan valley clash in which many Indian soldiers were martyred while China also suffered colossal losses at the hands of brave troops of the Indian army. Reportedly, the Indian side has also responded swiftly as per Standard Operating Procedures, in the case of a Chinese air force plane hovering near the border. The incident took place at around 4 AM on one of the days in the last week of June as the Dragon country’s aircraft was spotted by men on ground and was also picked up by indigenous radars deployed in the border area. Soon after the confirmation of possible air space violation by rogue China, the assets of the Indian Air Force were activated as per the standard operating procedures. It is pertinent to mention that the Chinese side is holding exercises involving its fighter jets and air defence weaponry including the S-400 air defence system in the areas bordering the Eastern Ladakh sector. There is no doubt that China has lately become a headache for the country as starting from Ladakh to Arunachal Pradesh, the northern neighbour is creating problems for India thus making it vital for the country to remain on tenterhooks all the time to counter any kind of nefarious designs by the Dragon nation. Though India is in no way less powerful than China, confrontation with neighbouring countries is not India’s priority therefore it is necessary that India takes aggressive stand along borders to ensure safety and security of the country and its people.
