BIG STATEMENT

BIG STATEMENT

The statement given by country’s Home Minister over government having dominion over the terrorism is really a significant one showing that days of guns and goons are over in J&K. It is pertinent to mention that Home Minister Amit Shah has asserted that the administration in Jammu and Kashmir has established a decisive domination over terrorism under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He has also enthused confidence among the people by claiming that under the leadership of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Jammu and Kashmir is on the path of peace and development. The HM was speaking after unveiling the ‘Statue of Peace’ of philosopher and social reformer Ramanujacharya in Sonawar through video conferencing. The role of Home Minister in achieving the goal of abrogating Article 370 and Article 35A is also phenomenal and the things which followed in J&K after the August 5, 2019 changes, can also be attributed to his vision and strong personality as his role in controlling the situation in J&K post removal of Article 370 was exceptional because not even a single gunshot was reported from anywhere after the change in status of J&K in August 2019. No doubt the erstwhile state of J&K, which now comprises UTs of J&K and Ladakh, has seen colossal development with no segment of the society accusing the government of any sort of discrimination or partiality, which earlier used to be the common sight. This all has happened due to insightful thinking of PM Narendra Modi and unwavering willpower of HM Shah. The assertion that terrorism is completely under control is true to hilt and the successful conduct of Shri Amarnathji Yatra which reportedly crossed 1 lakh mark in just eight days is the testimony to the fact that situation is well under control and the government has achieved the goal of taming the terrorism. Surely, the time has come in the Valley when the people should come out of fear and start rebuilding their lives with peace and prosperity waiting to embrace them as the dark era of violence has gone with the sincere efforts of the Modi Government, who had promised the same around eight years back. It is now the prerogative of the people of J&K to give credit to the union government for bailing them out of despair and morass, which remained in the region due to imprudence of the directionless political class and the phlegmatic dispensations of the past.
