Hajj Yatra: After 2 years, the first batch of 145 passengers left from Jammu and Kashmir.

The first batch of 145 Haj pilgrims from Jammu and Kashmir left for Medina in Saudi Arabia on Sunday morning. After two years, the pilgrims have left for Hajj. Earlier, the passengers completed the necessary paperwork at Bemina Haj House in Srinagar and left for the airport.

Haj Committee of India member Er Ejaz Hussain, Commissioner of Revenue Vijay Kumar, HCOI Deputy CEO Javed Ahmed and JK Haj Committee CEO Haj House flagged off the first batch of 145 Hajis at Bemina.

Er Ejaz Hussain, member of Haj Committee of India, said that he met Hajis and also took their feedback about the arrangements made by HCOI and other preparations. Hajis expressed their gratitude for the arrangements made by HCOI and JK Haj Committee at Haj House. He prayed for peace and prosperity in Kashmir. He said that for the first time, the facility of electronic visa and passport has been provided to Hujaz. They will be able to download it easily in their mobile application.
Let us inform that earlier this flight was going to take off on May 31, but later it was extended for 5 days. According to a report, India’s quota for Haj pilgrimage this year is 79,237 pilgrims, out of which a total of 5196 people will go to Haj from Jammu and Kashmir.
