GOVT PROVIDING SUCCOUR

Despite sour ties between India and Pakistan, and borders remaining insecure due to unprovoked firing from the neighbouring side the government has restored zeroline cultivation after a gap of nearly two decades. This shows the willingness of the BJP government led by PM Narendra Modi to provide each and every facility to the residents of J&K no matter what sacrifice it has to do for realizing the same. The first and foremost feat of the government was successful rejuvenation of truce pact of the year 2003 in February last year using dexterousness of the diplomats as the agreement was overhauled through back channels and the same is working till day without much of the violations. The best outcome of this ceasefire pact was re-cultivation of fields of the farmers lying between fencing on IB and zeroline. No doubt, the BSF played a significant role in accomplishing this job which some years back was considered as impossible. This actually is the charisma of PM Modi that things do happen without any hassle or delay. Now the farmers of International Indo-Pak Border areas are in upbeat mood after getting the better results of Zeroline cultivation as the wheat crop grown in the fields near Zero Line after a gap of 20 years is all set for harvesting in Hiranagar sector of Kathua district. For the aforesaid farmers Baisakhi festival will be a real feat this year because after so many years they will harvest crop in the fields lying beyond the fencing on IB. For sure, this was an impossible thing if the government at the centre was not of BJP and there was some other PM instead of Narendra Modi.

It is pertinent to mention that under the tight security cover of Border Security Force (BSF), the Jammu and Kashmir Government and Agriculture Production Department and Farmer Welfare Department led by its Principal Secretary to Government and Chief Agriculture Officer, Kathua decided on the direction of LG Manoj Sinha to cultivate nearly 145 Acres of barren land on Forward Line and farmers were given the full support to cultivate the land with free machinery, seed, fertilizer, etc. Surely, the government has done a remarkable job and lightened up the homes of farmers who were incurring losses due to denial of permission to cultivate crops on their very own land.
