PEACE ON ANVIL
The statement by the Home Minister Amit Shah that peace and tranquility will be ensured in J&K within a short span of time is quite significant because the entire nation is concerned over the issue and is desperately awaiting for long lasting peace in the UT. There is no doubt that Kashmir which is now the boiling point in the region was once the most calm and serene place on the earth with splendid natural beauty that was ultimate and matchless. Although natural beauty remained the same but due to consistent interference from neighbouring rogue nation Pakistan things turned hostile and the tumult and turmoil deteriorated the situation. It is BJP Government under the stewardship of strong PM Narendra Modi and HM Amit Shah that a totally different path was taken to overcome the issue of separatism and terrorism and that is the reason behind Amit Shah’s assertion that sooner than later the peace will prevail in J&K. Already much has been done in the dirction to combat terrorism and separatism after the Lok Sabha elections in 2014 as hundreds of terror mongers have been eliminated year after year, Article 370 has been abrogated, several elections were held successfully with DDC, BDC and other PRIs put in place ensuring three tier Panchayati Raaj System in the J&K for the first time in the history. All this have been accomplished by the strong resolve of Modi government and unrelenting support of all wings of security forces including police and army. There has been major improvement in security situation in the last few years in the Valley as whatever is happening on the terrorism front is due to desperation of residual terrorists who are facing the heat of strengthened security Bandobast and are coming out from their hideouts to run for life. Going by the convention one can have faith in the statement of HM Amit Shah which he has made in Jammu that peace is on anvil because till date whatever the BJP’s central leadership has promised or avowed has become a reality soon. With this assertion of HM, one can safely say that J&K will soon be terrorism-free.
