DB dispose of PIL seeking direction to authorities to complete two roads in District Ramban
JKUT (Jammu), December-10-2021-( JNF):- In a Public Interest Litigation filed by Inhabitants of Tehsil Rajgarh seeking direction upon the respondent authorities to complete two roads in District Ramban, one from Chanderkote Power House to Rajgarh and the other from Rajgarh to Shamthi under Package No. JK04-196 and Package No.JK04-280 under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), A Division Bench of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court comprising Chief Justice Pankaj Mithal and Justice Sanjay Dhar disposed of the PIL as AAG Ravinder Gupta for the UT made a statement that the two roads have been constructed and the remaining work is likely to be completed by the end of this month.
When the PIL came-up for hearing, AAG Ravinder Gupta submitted that the road from Rajgarh to Shamthi having a length of 14.475 Kms has been completed, whereas the road from Chanderkote Power House to Rajgarh having a length of 16.700 kms stands completed up to 16.200 kms and only 500 meters of the said road remains to be completed. It is further stated that this remaining portion of the road would be completed in all respects by the end of this year i.e. 31.12.2021.
After going through the statement of the AAG, Division Bench observed that the purpose of filing the writ petition has come to an end and closed the proceedings in the PIL
