Director Health Jammu inspects patient care facilities in DH Ramban
JAMMU, JUNE 05: Director Health Services Jammu, Dr. Renu Sharma today visited District Hospital Ramban where she took a detailed round of all sections of the Hospital.
She was accompanied by Deputy Director Dentistry, Chief Medical Officer Ramban, Medical Superintendent DH Ramban.
The Director held a meeting with all the doctors of the hospital where MS, DH Ramban gave a powerpoint presentation regarding the working of the hospital. The DHS appreciated the good work done during this Covid pandemic when more than 100 Covid positive patients were admitted in level II Covid Isolation Ward of the Hospital. Few among these were critical patients who were successfully treated and discharged.
She lauded the efforts of CMO under whose supervision the sampling and vaccination drive has been good and the positivity rate of the district has come down. She interacted with the staff of the vaccination centre and examined the AEFI kit which is meant for treating any adverse event following immunization.
DHS also visited the oxygen Generation Plant site and was hopeful that it shall be made functional soon.
DHS was apprised that CT Scan machine which was non functional from 2nd week of May has been made functional two days back.
Later, the Director interacted with the DDC chairperson and the PRI members who thanked her for visiting DH Ramban and appreciated the good work done by the team of doctors of DH Ramban under the supervision of CMO and MS Ramban. They demanded that an ENT and Eye Surgeon should be posted there at the earliest.
She visited the labour room and also the Emergency ward which was full of patients and she congratulated the MS for managing both Covid and non Covid patients simultaneously.
DHS also visited under construction staff quarters, Eye and OT ward of District Hospital Ramban where she interacted with the engineers of the concerned agency, directed them to expedite the pace of construction work and pointed out that the work was in the same stage as during her last visit.
Lastly she visited Emergency Hospital Banihal and took stock of health care facilities over there.
