Government Polytechnic Kathua hosts poster making competition
KATHUA, MAY 21: Government Polytechnic Kathua today observed Anti-Terrorism Day by hosting poster competition and other activities.
At the outset, a pledge was taken by all Faculty members, Staff members and students to fight the forces of disruption threatening human lives and values. Er. Arun Bangotra, Principal, delivered an awareness speech about the importance of the day and motivated the students to be vigilant and spread the message of peace, humanity, unity and harmony.
The pledge was administered with the objective to wean away the youth from terrorism and the cult of violence by highlighting the sufferings of the common people.
On the occasion, Online Poster making competition was also organised in which 39 students of 2nd, 4th and 6th semester participated.
First position was shared by Gulshan Kumar and Sohit Kumar Kumar, second by Randeep Singh and Manav Aryan and third by Sourav Sharma and Angad pal Singh Sodhi.
The judges for the competition were Er. Rishabh Gupta, Er. Vishal Sharma and Kuldeep Kumar, faculty of the college.
