J&K: Seven terrorists neutralised, one surrendered in last 24 hours

Indian security forces killed seven terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir during the last 24 hours in encounters, while one terrorist surrendered during this period. The encounters took place in Pulwama and Shopian districts.

Four terrorists were neutralized on Friday when an encounter broke out between security forces in the Kiloora area of Shopian. Inspector-General of Police, Kashmir, Vijay Kumar said that security forces were able to capture one of the terrorists.

Two terrorists involved in the abduction and killing of Khanmoh’s Sarpanch were also eliminated. One of them was Suhail Bhat and another was district commander of Al-Badr terror outfit Shakoor Parray. Two AK-47s and three pistols were recovered by the Indian Army from the encounter site.

“Op Killora, #Shopian. Update. Four terrorists were eliminated and one terrorist surrendered. Two AKs and three pistols recovered. Joint operation in progress.,” tweeted Chinar Corps, Indian Army.

Another operation started in the early hours of Saturday at 1 AM. This time the location was Zadoora area of Pulwama district. In this operation, three terrorists were killed in the encounter. A soldier martyred in the encounter after succumbing to injury.
