Woman among three die as landslide hit Reasi’s Mahore

Three persons, including a woman, died when they buried alive under a landslide triggered by heavy rains in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said here on Tuesday.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Reasi Rashmi Wazir told UNI that on the intervening night of August 24 and 25, a temporary shed got buried  under landslide when a natural cave collapsed in Akhourh Shadol area of Gulabgarh, Mahore.

“Three persons buried alive under the debris while our teams along with locals early morning launched the operation and retrieved all the bodies,” said the Officer.
She, however, identified the deceased as  Khalil Ahmed, 22, son of Mohammad Rafiq, Ruksana Begum,19, wife of Khalil Ahmed of Malan Bathoie, Mahore and Mohammad Aslam, 25, son of Mohammad Rafiq, resident of Dunga Ladh.
She said that some buffaloes and other animals also got buried  under the landslide.
