Commissioner, JMC conducts tour at Peerkho to inspect the project of AMRUT

   Today Ms. Avny Lavasa (IAS), Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation conducted the tour at Peerkho to inspect various works under the project namely Development of Pedestrian Walkway along river Tawi from Peerkho to PHE Station, Jammu alongwith Joint Commissoner (W), Dy. Director (Planning), Executive Engineer, Division-II and Consultant of the project.

  During the inspection, the Joint Commissioner (W) apprised the Commissioner, JMC that the said project approved under AMRUT with sanction cost of Rs. 540.00 lacs during the year 2015-16. During the inspection it is found that the pedestrian walk way has been completed for a length of 945 mtrs. out of 1036 mtrs.    The Commissioner directed the concerned that the allied works i.e electrification works, berms dressing, drainage work, painting of fencing grills and bush cutting to be completed within one month. The commissioner also issued on spot instructions to the Joint commissioner works for conducting an immediate meeting with the contractor to whom the contract has been allotted for finalizing  activity wise time line for completing the balance work of the project well before the end of August 2020.
