COVID claims four more lives in J&K, toll 260

The death toll due to the Novel Coronavirus has mounted to 260 in Jammu and Kashmir as four more patients died due to the virus on Tuesday.

Officials said that four patients who died due to virus include a 90-year-old man from Pattan area of Baramulla, a 70-year-old man from Lal Bazar Srinagar, a 43-year-old man from Parigam Pulwama and a 50-year-old man from Mirbazar Kulgam.

An official said that a 90-year-old man from Pattan Baramulla who was admitted on July 19 and died at CD hospital on Tuesday.

He said the patient was suffering from multiple ailments including hypertension, diabetes, chronic kidney disease, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.

Officials from SKIMS said that a 70-year-man from Lal Bazar who was admitted on July 18, a 43-year-old man from Parigam who was admitted on July 20 and a 50-year-old man from Mirbazar Kulgam who was admitted on July 19 died on Tuesday morning.

He said that the patient from Pulwama was suffering from Chronic Kidney disease and other two were suffering from Pneumonia besides other ailments.

With four more deaths, the death toll due to COVID-19 in J&K has reached to 260 including 240 from Kashmir division and 20 from Jammu division.
