Randhawa felicitates meritorious students

Jammu, July 13

Former Member Legislative Council (MLC), Ch. Vikram Randhawa, today felicitates meritorious students of Government Higher Secondary School, Channi Himmat, for their exemplary performance in board results of Class 10th and Class 12th which have been declared recently.

A simple function was organized in the school premises in the presence of Principal of the School Shehnaz Choudhary and other staff members where meritorious students were felicitated by the former MLC.

While speaking on the occasion Randhawa said that the students of government run schools belong to poor families and their performance is purely based on the hard work as they don’t get private tuitions like those who are studying in corporate schools.

Randhawa further said that as the school was adopted by him during his tenure as MLC and had contributed a lot in upgrading infrastructure of the school it is his moral responsibility to felicitate all the meritorious students of this school. The students who were felicitated include Pallavi, Afifa Israr, Priyanka Lovedia, Kamran Iqbal and Toheed Mehboob all from Science stream. Meenakshi, Deepshikha, Bhoomi Mehra, Shivani Anthal, Daya Shankar, Dinesh Kumar and Imitiaz Alam all from Commerce stream.

Ankita Bhagat, Janvi Sharma and Sunil Singh from Arts stream. Pooja Kumari and Rajeshwari of Class 10th.

While congratulating the Principal and staff members for exemplary performance of the students Randhawa urged upon the staff members to work with more dedication and zeal for making this school as the number one school of Gandhi Nagar. He said that their dedication, hard work with honesty can do wonders as they are more qualified and intelligent than the staff in private schools. He said that the future of the nation is in their hands and now it is their duty to shape them in a way so that they may become responsible citizens. He assured all possible help to the school.
