Appreciating untired efforts and services of frontline Corona Warriors in fight against deadly Pandemic COVID-19, Sh. Chander Mohan Gupta Mayor Jammu today on 09.05.2020 honoured Dr. Malvika Sharma a frontline Corona Warrior who returned to her home at Shiv Nagar, Jammu after a period of one month while performing her duty with full dedication at Specially converted COVID-19 Hospital (Chest Diseases Hospital) Bakshi Nagar, Jammu and remained ISOLATED herself from her family for the sake of her duty. Sh. Sudesh Mangotra Prominent RSS Leader, Sh. Ved Parkash Sharma, Sh. Udham Singh, Sh. Narinder Singh and other prominent inhabitants of the Shiv Nagar, Rajpura Area of Ward No: 33 were also present during this special occasion.
Mayor said that Doctors and Paramedical Staff have set an extraordinary and higher standard of service, dedication, devotion and valour for others to follow in this hour of crisis. At the time when even relatives are distancing from Corona positive people, Doctors like Dr. Malvika Sharma and other paramedical staff left their families and preferred to treat, look after and serve helpless Corona infected people at the stake of their lives. Service and contribution of these Corona Warriors is extraordinary, they deserve a big salute. The facilitation & honour is just a small gesture and taken of gratitude towards invaluable services rendered by them in the service of Nation and humanity and they deserve tonnes more than this and it is only due to tireless efforts and dedication of these frontline Corona Warriors that the Corona positive patients admitted in various COVID-19 Hospitals in Jammu were cured and returned back to their families and not even a single valuable life was lost to Corona in Jammu City.
Mayor further said that such voluntary gestures strengthen our resolves and capacity to combat COVID-19 and asked the people to follow the advisories issued by the Government to break the chain of this Virus.
