DDC reviews Master Plan for Development of Reasi District

REASI, APRIL 28: District Development Commissioner Reasi Kumar Abhishek today chaired a meeting to review the Master Plan for the overall development of the district.

A comprehensive discussion was held on key components of the plan, including urban planning, infrastructure development, traffic management, sanitation and environmental sustainability. The DDC underscored the need for planned and balanced growth to meet the rising demands of the population while maintaining ecological balance.

Officers presented detailed updates on the status of the Master Plan, highlighting progress achieved and challenges encountered in its implementation.

The DDC reviewed key proposals aimed at strengthening civic amenities, improving road connectivity and enhancing public service delivery. He emphasized that these measures are vital for ensuring orderly urban expansion, improving quality of life and promoting sustainable development.

Stressing timely execution of works, the DDC directed concerned departments to ensure close coordination and adherence to prescribed timelines. He also highlighted the importance of adopting modern planning approaches and encouraging public participation to make the Master Plan more inclusive and effective.

The meeting was attended by MLA Reasi Kuldeep Raj Dubey; ADC Rakesh Kumar; ACR Nitin Verma; Executive Engineer PWD and officers from various departments.
