DODA, APRIL 10: Additional Deputy Commissioner Anil Kumar Thakur today reviewed civic and security arrangements for smooth celebration of Baisakhi Festival across the district.
During the meeting, the ADC directed concerned officers to make comprehensive arrangements and provide necessary facilities at designated venues. Emphasis was laid on maintaining law and order, sanitation and public safety.
The police department was tasked with ensuring adequate security arrangements, while the Municipality was instructed to maintain proper sanitation and cleanliness in and around festival sites. Magistrate duties were also assigned to ensure effective on-ground supervision.
The District Information Officer was directed to keep strict vigil on social media to curb misinformation and ensure timely dissemination of information. Block Development Officers were directed to sanitize festival venues in their respective blocks.
The Power Development Department was instructed to remove low-lying cables to prevent any untoward incidents. The Food and Supplies Department was asked to conduct inspections to ensure the availability and quality of essential items. The Fire and Emergency Department was directed to remain on alert for any emergencies.
Furthermore, the ADC Bhaderwah and Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) appraised the chair about the arrangements and facilities being put in place within their respective jurisdictions.
The meeting was attended by ACR, ACD, Tehsildar, DIO, DySP Headquarters, Executive Officer Municipality and other concerned officers and officials. The ADC Bhaderwah, SDMs, Tehsildars and BDOs of the district also participated virtually in the meeting.
