
DODA, APRIL 10: To review the functioning of the National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP) in the district, District Health Officer Dr. Raj Kumar Sharma chaired a meeting of Malaria staff and field functionaries at his office chamber here today.
At the outset, the Malaria staff presented indicator wise progress and highlighted various activities carried out under the NVBDCP across the district. The meeting focused on reviewing surveillance activities, preventive measures, awareness campaigns and field level interventions undertaken to control vector borne diseases.
After a detailed review of the progress, the DHO impressed upon the concerned staff to devise a comprehensive micro-plan followed by a structured tour plan to further intensify activities under the programme. He emphasized strengthening surveillance, ensuring timely reporting, enhancing community awareness and improving field monitoring to achieve better outcomes.
Dr. Sharma also stressed the importance of coordinated efforts, regular field visits and close monitoring to ensure effective implementation of the programme and prevention of vector-borne diseases in the district.
The meeting was attended by Malaria Inspector, JHIs, BHWs and other field functionaries associated with the programme.
The meeting concluded with a commitment from all participants to further strengthen the implementation of NVBDCP and ensure improved public health outcomes in the District.
