
KISHTWAR, APRIL 10: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Pankaj Kumar Sharma today chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the implementation of the Aspirational Block Development Programme(ABDP) and Sampoornata Abhiyan 2.0 in the Aspirational Block Marwah.
The Deputy Commissioner reviewed key performance indicators across major sectors, including health and nutrition, education, agriculture and allied activities, basic infrastructure, drinking water supply, sanitation, financial inclusion and social development.
A detailed sector-wise assessment was carried out, focusing on the status of ongoing works, identification of critical gaps and measures required to expedite the implementation of various schemes and projects in the block.
The meeting was informed that all six indicators under Sampoornata Abhiyan 2.0 have been fully saturated. The Chief Education Officer (CEO) was directed to improve transition rates at the secondary and higher secondary levels.
Further, the Chief Agriculture Officer (CAO) was instructed to intensify efforts for the expansion and promotion of micro-irrigation facilities in Marwah and Warwan areas to enhance agricultural productivity and support the farming community.
The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) was directed to complete the NQAS certification process and expedite the generation of ABHA IDs in the block to strengthen healthcare delivery systems.
While reviewing the progress of revolving funds for Self Help Groups (SHGs), the Deputy Commissioner expressed concern over the slow pace of implementation and directed the concerned departments to achieve targets in a time-bound manner.
The Deputy Commissioner also directed the Lead District Manager (LDM) to increase banking access points in Sub-Division Marwah, with special emphasis on establishing ATM facilities.
The DC underscored the importance of timely execution, inter-departmental coordination and focused monitoring to ensure the effective achievement of the objectives of the Aspirational Blocks Programme for the socio-economic upliftment of the people of Marwah.
