KATHUA, APRIL 09: The second day of the ongoing three-day multi-theme awareness programme organised by the School Education Department was marked by painting, quiz and essay writing competitions held at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Girls Kathua amid enthusiastic participation of students from across the district.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Education Officer Kewal Krishan highlighted that the activities based on key themes—mental health, drug de-addiction, traffic awareness and environmental protection—aim to draw students’ attention towards these pressing issues and encourage their active participation in addressing them. He emphasised that children at the school-going age are best placed to understand and imbibe the difference between right and wrong, thereby shaping themselves into responsible citizens.
The multifarious activities were held under the supervision of the host School Principal Jatinder Sethi and DEPO Anjana Manyal.
Officials from the School Education Department and a large number of students were present on the occasion.
