DC Reasi reviews implementation of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan; Calls for intensifying awareness drive

REASI, APRIL 08: Deputy Commissioner Reasi Kumar Abhishek today chaired a meeting to review the implementation of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan / JK Abhiyan in the district.

The Deputy Commissioner conducted a comprehensive review of the ongoing three-month Nasha Mukt IEC Campaign being carried out across the district. Detailed discussions were held on the awareness activities, outreach programmes and community participation initiatives aimed at curbing substance abuse.

Emphasizing the need for intensified efforts, the DC directed the concerned departments to strengthen awareness drives at the grassroots level, particularly targeting youth, educational institutions and vulnerable sections of society. He stressed the importance of coordinated action to ensure effective dissemination of anti-drug messages through seminars, rallies, social media campaigns and other IEC initiatives. He also highlighted the role of IRP and GRP deployed at the Railway Station Katra, initiatives under Mission YUVA and called for active involvement of schools, colleges and civil society organizations to make the campaign more impactful and result-oriented.

The Deputy Commissioner also directed all Sub-Divisional Magistrates to conduct similar awareness programmes at the sub-division level to ensure wider outreach and deeper impact of the campaign across the district. He instructed officers to regularly monitor the progress of activities and submit timely reports to ensure accountability and achievement of desired outcomes.

ADC Rakesh Kumar, CPO Narinder Kumar, CEO Deepak Gupta, Addl. SP, DM DIC, CMO and other district officers were present in the meeting.
